About Me

Hi, my name is Benito Thompson. On paper, my background sits at the intersection of science and art: I’m a violinist, medical physicist, and content creator holding master’s and bachelor's degrees in physics, along with a degree in violin performance. I am of Jamaican descent and based in Atlanta, GA. While this resume does give you a snapshot into what I do and who I am, I think the best way to capture who I am is through what I love.

I love food, music, art, storytelling, learning, activism, teaching, humor, natural and social science, and so much more. These things I love shape not only who I am but what I create. Above all, however, I LOVE community. Ever growing and inclusive community. The kind that shares food, music, language, passion, knowledge, understanding, and love with one another.

Ultimately, in the content that I make, the music that I play and sing, and the stories that I tell I hope to inspire such community. It’s there that you will find more about me than I could ever fit on a simple web page.
